The pilot piston type gas pressure lowering valve category includes the stainless steel pressure reducing valve. The main valve and the pilot valve are its two component elements. The pilot valve is opened and closed to drive the piston as it adjusts the flow area of the throttling part of the main valve to realize the pressure reduction and stabilizing function. The outlet pressure is set by regulating the spring pressure. The diaphragm senses changes in the outlet pressure.
Stainless Steel Pressure Reducing Valves
The stainless steel pressure reducing valve belongs to the pilot piston type gas pressure reducing valve. It consists of two parts, the main valve and the pilot valve. The outlet pressure is set by adjusting the spring pressure, the change of the outlet pressure is sensed by the diaphragm, and the pilot valve is opened and closed to drive the piston to adjust the flow area of the throttling part of the main valve to realize the pressure reducing and stabilizing function.
The installation and use of Stainless Steel Pressure Reducing Valves
1. For the convenience of operation and maintenance, the valve is generally installed vertically on the horizontal pipeline.
2. In order to prevent overpressure behind the valve, a pressure reducing valve should be installed at least 4M away from the valve outlet.
3. The installation of the gas pressure reducing valve must be strictly in accordance with the direction of the arrow on the valve body and the direction of fluid flow. If the water quality is not clean and contains some impurities, a filter must be installed at the upstream water inlet of the pressure reducing valve (we recommend that the filtration accuracy is not less than 0.5mm).
4. The pressure reducing valve plays a certain check role in the pipeline. In order to prevent the harm of water hammer, a small expansion tank can also be installed to prevent damage to the pipeline and valve. The filter must be installed before the water inlet pipe of the pressure reducing valve. The expansion tank must be installed after the outlet pipe of the pressure reducing valve!
5. If you need to install the pressure reducing valve in the hot water system, you must install a check valve between the pressure reducing valve and the expansion tank. This can not only allow the expansion tank to absorb the volume of water increased due to thermal expansion, but also prevent the impact of hot water backflow or pressure fluctuations on the pressure reducing valve, so as to ensure the normal operation of the pressure reducing valve.
